I don't really believe in chi or whatever in a metaphysical context but there's definitely some part of the human subconscious that processes things that way and if you're sensitive to it sometimes you'll notice objects have an "aura" and if you look a little closer sometimes it'll be obvious why (other times you'll just be left wondering where the weird vibe came from).

One time I sat watch with a patient in the ICU who they needed to take down for an MRI so we had to take off their jewelry and we noticed one of the necklaces was a ball chain with pet tags. Both me and the assigned nurse were super worried about them getting lost when we got off shift in an hour. We wound up putting them in a specimen cup with his patient label and I literally handed it to the next sitter. My shift ended but I'm really really hoping that necklace got back to them.

Another time I was screening a person's belongings when they came to psychiatry still out of it after an attempt and I found this weird worn out rag that had a bunch of holes in it that had been patched and knotted together. I remember looking at it and just thinking there had to be a reason they kept trying to fix it so I carefully put it back in the same pocket. Turned out it was a baby blanket, but like I said above if they hadn't woken up and mentioned it I would've been left wondering.
