I know it's AI, but it's "not quite right" nature gives it a creepy liminal vibe. They feel like a dream from a collective unconscious of all the training data we fed it.

Kane Pixels has been making this sort of art since before AI tools were popularized. He specializes in liminal horror so the uncanny valley feeling is very intentional.

I'm not 100% if it's AI. it is definitely CG. This is the account of the guy who made a whole Backrooms series a while back.

He has a whole series on YouTube based on "The Backrooms" horror meme.
They are quite good, imho.
