This seems like something that might have some horrific, Futurama–style side effects

This would be revolutionary, and I really hope it is true. I'm going to wait to see reports in some of the more credible medical journals before I get excited though.

  All this work is peer reviewed and published. Not sure why anyone would bother linking to the New York Post for anything.

  That looks related, but different to the "bone-02" this article is talking about. I spent a little time trying to track down anything about this latest stuff, and all the articles seem to link to each other or the Global Times, but not a peer reviewed source. The Global Times also says it is a "product" rather than a potential treatment going through clinical trials.
  Maybe it's just me missing something and it is a genuine product designed off of the back of the research you linked, but I haven't been able to confirm that, and that has me wondering about the veracity of the claim. As I said, I hope this claim is true and we see widespread adoption, but I'm holding off on the excitement until I see peer reviewed evidence of that.
