I am the hairiest and bikeriest disney princess for sure. Depending on the time of year my morning welcome committee is ~80 blue jays, 60 grackles and blackbirds, a handful of chipmunks, some marmots, rabbits, and 5 or 6 'named' squirrels. The mammals have almost always been sociable and able to be fed by hand, especially the chipmunks, but the birds have always maintained their space. The newest set of babies is the first to let us hang out with them while they eat. And now this...
The thousands of pounds of peanuts, scratch feed, sunflowers, and suet, over the years have finally paid off.
