not convinced he wasnt a forced martyr. there was another angle behind him where a flash was seen, and then a projectile was recorded mid flight behind him. also a 30-06 would have blown his neck clean apart. he would be looking like he was nearly headless nick if he was lucky. but suddenly "its a miracle there was no exit wound" from 30-06......at about 150 to 200 yards? even if the recorded muzzle flash behind him, and the projectile caught mid flight behind him was doctored. theres no way a 30-06 would just "stop" in his neck with a small hole like that. physics would simply not allow it.

what they describe happening, and what we saw. would make sense for a 22lr or maaaaaaybe a 9mm. but thats also pushing it.

I would argue that a 150 grain 30-06 could do something like this. That's a pretty popular deer hunting round, and I don't know that it would go through a vertebrae. Certainly wouldn't almost decapitate him. 220 grain would probably exit I think, but again it wouldn't almost decapitate him. There really isn't enough in the neck to go flying everywhere.
That's just me guessing from decades of hunting deer, elk, and bear with a 30-06. I don't do neck shots though.

I'm not downboating you myself, but - on one hand you're not technically wrong - the collection of facts about that day supports both statements
The point being made by the original poster is that this event isn't something shocking and unique, it's something that was statistically bound to happen.
Fox and their conservative sphere have been mastering the art of 'spin' for decades. That is, they've found that you can take a collection of facts and make any number of stories, just by changing which details are empathized. Indeed, they've made this about the attack, and have used it to advance their agenda. Your statement is a 'both sides' thing and that too plays into their hand - that's why you're being downvoted. This post is about changing the narrative, not just adding details to conservative spin.

If schools shootings happen because of gun culture, it a necessary evil that only the radical left would want to oppose. If a political pundit who defended that argument is shot due to the same gun culture, it was the radical left that must have been involved in some way or just took advantage of the shooting by using it to continue to criticize gun culture. — MAGA, probably.
