And every supermarket in Germany has a shelf of beer mixed with sweet soda. Beer+cola is really good IMO, but you need to mix it 2:1 instead of 1:1 like most of the pre-bottled ones. AND they're drinking cappuccino in the afternoon!
Yeah, but mixing wine with cola is clearly worse than mixing it with water, from the perspective of food purists. Also I'd be surprised if wine+cola was popular in Italy.
Breaking spaghetti makes me irrationally angry. Being long and noodly is the reason I use them, why should I take that away from me?

Just hold it vertically in the boiling water, it takes about ten seconds to get soft enough to bend it.
Why not use other pasta varieties instead?
