Jeez, what is going on in y’all’s thoughts? I’d absolutely rather be alone with my thoughts than be electrically shocked.
4 0 ReplyMy thoughts often drift to uh- not so savory things, so I always need music or something in the background
In fact, I once asked to be put in a mental hospital due to those thoughts!
3 0 Replyi also struggle to understand; are they like depressive thoughts?
1 0 ReplyI hope you are feeling better these days.

I spend most of my time alone with my thoughts and I would prefer it to electric shocks.
3 0 ReplyI think Vsauce did an episode of Mindfield where Michael tests this. Basically have the person wait in a room with a button that shocks them (lightly) when pressed. Even when the person knows the button will shock them, they still press it in the majority of cases out of a combination of curiosity and boredom.
3 0 ReplyWtf? No.
2 0 ReplyIn the original study isnt there one outlier that shocked themselves like 200 times lmao
1 0 ReplyWhat about if you dream about shocking yourself all the time? I have jumper cables and battery chargers. I'm perfectly capable of licking things too.
