Yep, I believe his umbilical was wrapped around the joint when he was born and must have been for some time so his leg was removed right away. We’ve been fostering him for a few months and while he isn’t our only “mobility impaired” cat, he is our first tripod. I’ve been amazed at how capable he is. He can get pretty much anywhere any of the other cats do. He just always seems to figure it out. We have another whose back legs don’t work right and she’s the same. They just adapt so readily, it’s truly amazing.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES! Two heads does not mean twice as much food! Remind them they share a stomach and will throw up again if they keep overeating.
