If you're in North America, it's probably better to get a Tern folding bike, since they are better supported here. Dahon, despite being a well-known brand, has shitty service and parts availability (in Canada, at least).
Tern is good but I would also add Priority and Zizzo as options: They both have good service and are around in the states.
I ride a Priority Folder myself and like the belt/hub setup because it's ridiculously low maintenance and DGAF about rain. My post rain ride ritual with that bike is just getting off the bike lol, no wiping, oiling, waxing, or anything.
