Some of us would like a change once in a while. Bubbly water is pretty harmless. As is nearly everything in moderation.
Or you could do you, and police everyone's behavior. So looking below, it's probably not that people are offended when you drink water. They're tired of you constantly judging them for not. I drank bottles of water constantly in a very pro-booze dorm and I never once had someone comment on it.
