I had a ‘96 Eclipse, and sprung (pun intended) for popped door locks (not sure what it’s called, but you use your key fob to open the doors using spring-loaded poppers). It worked fucking awesome, until the they stopped working. So when I had to roll up the driver window (manual crank) and close the doors, my best way in was through my trunk, and using a coat hanger to pull the door latch.
conversely, I've never had a manual window fail, and in fact the windows on one car in my driveway right now can be actuated more quickly casually cranking by hand than any of the motorized ones on my own car. and the window is around 30% taller for the manual one.
