Taters at Dawn
  • Our spring has been pretty wet thank god, the water restrictions are from a main break back at the beginning of June. Should be lifted this week/end and I can water outside again from the tap. Hand watering sucks, wheter it’s a can or a nozzle with pressure anyways.

Been using rain water. I’ve got 8 100 HD totes to hold out, but it’s also been really rainy so haven’t needed it much lately. At the start needed it for the seedlings/transplants.

  • Question About Bamboo
  • Depends on the “raised bed” if you just do some board on the ground to make the dirt higher, the plants can still escape. If you have a raised “garden” where its soil in separate container raised off the ground, it’s fine. But it sounds like you want the former, not the latter, so don’t plant spreading stuff in them.

  • Time lapse plant growth
  • I watched the whole thing.

I’m guessing there was lots of failures, obvs sharing them isn’t all that interesting to most people, and unfortunately being candid can also back fire. Some people can’t understand the concept of “failure” especially when some plants only have a germination rate of 10% and he also isn’t growing them in their local habitat either, which makes it harder.

Kudos to him though, I’ve wanted to mess around with more plants in aeroponics myself. Maybe even make a pipe wall with some ornamental plants in it.

  • Do you ever have a tomato plant that dies for seemingly no reason?
  • When it shows signs of over watering, they only need about an inch a week after being established. When they are new or transplanted water daily for a week, than give it an inch of water a week. If it rains an inch, you’re done for week unless it’s stupid dry and starts showing signs of needing water (obviously).

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • Songs are captioned in TV though and I see them include lyrics (when no characters are speaking) or a song title.

I’ve never heard of that, or have I seen that in ANY media I’ve watched, got a source?

Either you don’t understand what the word precedence means or (more likely) you’re deliberately missing the point so you can do what your post history is full of.

Uhh… what…? Clearly you don’t, precedence means that it sets the bar for all others, (please provide whatever you’re using for a definition so maybe this can be cleared up and you can maybe show you aren’t a troll and actually meant to have a conversation) if nothing closed captions songs… how can that be precedence for it? If anything it’s precedence that nothing needs to do it, since anything with CC doesn’t do songs… again hence the shooting yourself in the foot with your point… but it’s not surprising you would need this explained again.

It’s funny, I didn’t go through your post history, since it isn’t relevant to the conversation at hand, but there’s multiple things wrong with this yeesh. A, you also have comments that come out that way, it’s literally a personal perspective/opinion…. Fucking yikes if you need this pointed out…. and B it’s fallacious and is done to attack someone’s character instead of the points at hand.

Why do you people always resort to stuff like this when backed into a corner…? You clearly have zero understanding of the topic, and talking about something completely irrelevant like it is, is only detrimental to any ACTUAL conversations happening. Common troll tactic, again, fucking yeesh lol.

  • Scrabble
  • Those words never came out of my mouth you petulant troll.

You kept repeating the phrase, and I kept ignoring it since it was the most obvious bait ever.

I get some people like what you do here, but you also cause a larger amount of people shit with your on and off ignorance. It’s obvious its attention seeking, get off social media and read a fucking book or do something with your “sad pitiful” life. You’re not incapable of working if you can spend this much time commenting on fucking social media.

    Yeesh dude….

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • It does shit me that older programs they could/can just put the treble clef symbol for music as you mentioned though.

Old…? That’s the point dude, they still do it since there is no requirement (even in fucking tv) to cc music. Wow…. Music has NEVER EVER FUCKING BEEN CLOSED CAPTIONED.

    Lmfao.

There is zero precedent and your point is just wrong, your example they don’t even CC the music in it… so how is it precedent for it on radio. Fucking yeesh. Your example actually proves there is absolutely zero precedent on anything for music closed captioning…. Hence shooting your fucking foot with your own point… can you comprehend that now? Or does it need to be explained even more simply for you……?

  • Scrabble
  • Yes you can, avoid social media, read a book.

And you’re the one responding to me now, why are YOU continuing it. Yes you crave attention, but this isn’t the attention you need for your mental health dude.

You would be a case study on what not to do.

  • Scrabble
  • Watch tv, read a book, play video games, learn a job you can do while sitting a computer.

Come on dude, take a little personal accountability, I’m dealing with multiple disabilities myself, I don’t use it as an excuse to be a miserable dick online.

  • Tight fit rule
  • Sorry yeah, that was definitely rude, having a bad morning, figured like you replied to a response to them and just didn’t read the comment… so common these days unfortunately.

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • Which has nothing to do with Spotify’s relationship to their customer, or elevators in buildings….

That’s not an answer, that’s googling something and providing something everyone here has probably seen. And that’s probably exactly what they saw and decided to parrot without comprehending it has nothing to do with the topic, now there’s entire discussions of people defending and discussing it.

Idiots that see your link, are going to think that it agrees with the moron since it’s shown as “proof”.

What a bunch of fucking morons here yeesh. You’re also talking about licensing like it applies as well along with them, so yeah not you aren’t “just” doing that, you’re perpetuating this misinformation.

Thats FOR EMPLOYERS AND NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BLOODY TOPIC AT HAND.

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • But for some folks, the elevator is completely essential. This dynamic resulted in making pay-to-ride elevators illegal in most places, today.

So this is absolutely fucking hilarious and shows your surface level knowledge (or just googling something and having zero knowledge…) they are only illegal if they are the only means of transportation, every single one of the buildings with one these will also have regular elevators, so they meet the code.

All the law did was prevent single elevator buildings from being able to discriminate. If a non-abled body person has another conveyance method, they can charge whatever they want. This is how amusement rides are able to charge AND have non ada accessible rides. And incase you didn’t know, elevator codes do cover amusement rides in most jurisdictions as well…

  • Large raised beds are doing great...ish!

Birds like picking their seeds that they throw into it back out, and I think the neighbors cats gotten into it a couple times. Working on some critter guards, but I’ve been spending my time modifying under the deck for a larger dog run for when I get a new dog. The sheds new, still in progress, need probably 8 more yards of rock underneath as well.

Slowly but surely, this week is a rest week though.

Day 31, just about half way!

She’s still growing, but no complaints, was ready this time.

    Damn this auto is ugly.

Probably a couple more weeks on her still, unless she throws some nanners or something im just gonna let her do its thing.

    Dahlias!

Store bought starters, but they’ve been transplanted and these are new blooms since getting established!

    Mini raised bed #3

In this bed, for starters we have San marzano, brandy wine and love gourmanson sunrise tomatoes, and some pollinator flowers.

For seeds we have sage, iceberg lettuce and Lebanese cucumbers, scatter planted we have red radishes and rainbow carrots.

Getting time to start thinning here soon.

Do you guys cut or pull when thinning?

    5
Should you thin an apple tree at all?

Getting mixed opinions on my Google-fu, some say to give the tree only a few spots to grow, others say to leave them. So what’s Lemmys opinion? Thin at all? If it’s clustered leave one per cluster?

I have two, they are mixed species trees from HD, there’s September ruby red, battleford and good land apples.

This is mini raised bed #1

This is the first planted bed out of them all, from left to right, we have tomatoes, sunflowers, peppers and marigolds.

For seeds, basil, kale and cucumbers, as well as autumn carrots and watermelon radishes scatter planted through the bed.

    2
This is mini raised bed #4.

In this bed we have Russian cukes on the right, and some taller tomatoes on the left, there is snap peas in the smaller pots.

In between the tomatoes there is kale, and there is touchan and ice radishes scatter planted in the entire bed. It’s covered with straw to keep moisture in due to local watering restrictions from a main break.

    And some marigolds

    7
Well I think I'm gonna use straw from now on in my garden

Most seedlings seem to making their way through it!

I’m hoping stuff like the radishes can get through though, beans are going gang busters with it though, seems to have helped the peas as well. Generally everything since the tops been kept moist!
