This would be so much more exciting to me if we had legitimate opposition to Republicans, but we don't. Maybe we'll elect Democrats next year, but they'll rule as conservatives too.
We won't get the chance to elect dems if the gop has it's way.
It doesn't matter. The Dems are collaborators.
Their only power here was to shut down the government, and they happily handed Donald what he wanted.
I grew up with old people who drank from whites-only fountains as teenagers. DOMA was repealed in my lifetime. If !!they!! control everything I don't get why they only throw us bones via Democrats.
To keep up appearances, really.
It's still important for there to be the appearance of democratic rule.
