Seagulls are reaching plague proportions outside Parliament House, harassing staff and visitors

With the weather getting warmer, seagulls have begun swarming the forecourt of Parliament House in Canberra in huge numbers.

Strategies are being put in place to discourage the nesting birds, which have been known to harass visitors and staff.

The gulls are expected to have cleared the area within a few weeks.
