Serotonin can't past the blood-brain barrier.
You have two serotonin households and it serves different regulation purposes in your body and brain.
so jump head first
brain first
injecting a cock
Freaky
You had me at "injecting a cock-"
Username checks out.
Small remider than when injected, serotonin basically overdrives pain receptors. That's why it's in there. It won't make you happy. It will make you feel even more in hell. (I know it's a joke. But come on i couldn't resist)
Can’t have science_memes without science. 🫡
That's the neat part about this community, getting to see memes and seeing additional information in the comments :D
It will make you feel
At least its something
The serotonin keeps you from acclimating to the pain.
A botany teacher I once had would rub her hands with nettles every morning to help with her arthritis. She said the increased blood flow from the inflammation helped somehow. Reminds me of the people who get stung by bees to help with MS.
It's called urtification (after the latin for nettles, Urtica dioica) , and humans have been doing it forever for exactly the reasons she mentioned.
You body will acclimate to the feeling after repeated exposure.
My partner spent so many years removing nettle from wetland restoration sites that she doesn't even feel it anymore.
So she was literally fighting inflammation with inflammation? That's either badass, stupid, or both 😄
Not a good idea to confuse Nettles with a fucking Cactus
Not a safe idea. Which makes it great entertainment.
Wait till you hear about Gympie gympie plant, which is related to stinging nettle but on steroids, and is more potent
Oldy goldy for those who don't know the video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PHSJCMkUa9Y
I heard it can be made into a pesto-like dip
And cooked like spinach. And made into a tea.
Spicy pesto
Any processing removed the stinging. They are a real super super food high in pretty much every vitamin and mineral. I drink nettle tea often in the winter
That's my stripper name
The nettles make me think happy times.
Nettles Cholla or something else more hardcore.
Actually, people use nettle bouquets to beat themselves with in sauna. It has a pain relieving effect for rheumatic and nerve pain. Only younger nettles are used which are gathered in may-june. You first dip them in hot water for 1 minute, then 3 minutes cold water, then 1 minute hot again and 3 minutes cold. Then it is ready to be used for spanking in the sauna. It feels like all of your skin has an orgasm, pretty wild.
i've never heard of this, all i've seen is tree branches.
I have a nerve injury and damn, I need more sauna. This sounds fantastic lol.
