One day, I hope people can have a nuanced discussion of the porn industry. Sentiments like this are true (emphasis mine):
Kytsya frequently promotes the advantages of going into the adult content creation industry, promising TikTok followers that it can prove a lucrative career choice. “The thing about my job is if you go full out you can make enough money to start your own thing whether that’s buying houses or doing Airbnbs and investing,” she says.
And she properly hedges with:
She also offers practical advice to followers who are considering working in this world, encouraging them to make sure they get tested regularly for sexually transmitted infections. She acknowledges that there are “dangers” involved in the work, and recommends that girls “who have just turned 18” should not rush into the adult industry. “Take time to think about it before you do it.”
More than taking time, the industry needs protection against exploration. Hell, success often means becoming the exploiter. You may be kinder and more empathic doing so, but that's not garunteed.
Most young women aren't going to make the money she made and hard work may not be enough. Unionization is unlikely happen industry wide since there's a so many new women showing up all the time.
Finally, it's important to see that many women in the sex work industry are being traffic. Smart legislation and enforcement can and should be used.

Which would be great and should happen. Unfortunately, there has never been a good faith effort to regulate the porn industry in the US. It's always an attempt to eliminate it. I don't expect this to change anytime soon.
Sex toys, too.
Urban Decay has been a sinking ship for years now because they strayed from what made them so beloved. They used to have palettes with funky, grungy color stories, bold nail polishes, and tons of unique colorful single shadows. Somewhere along the way they became so boring and a lot of us who loved them have moved on.
What's going to attract teenagers to Urban Decay? It's not a clean girl aesthetic brand, and teenagers don't have the connection with it that their mothers likely did.
In addition to OnlyFans, this woman seems to also have a sizable TikTok following as a beauty content creator. She probably has the audience that Urban Decay wants to reach. I don't think it's a bad idea as a means of getting that audience's attention, I just wonder how much they'll be interested in Urban Decay's product line. Or maybe UD will make even more changes to their product line to attract teenagers. Which... go ahead, I guess, but it's also sad to see.
So what?
Ex-OF star who's had a change of heart or is she still doing that stuff?
Also, the fact that she's working for "Urban Decay" made me giggle a bit, lol.
There’s nothing wrong with working in pornography my mother was filming a creampie scene when she got pregnant with me so I have a making of me video.
Still making millions doing OF.
Well, I hope she enjoys the money.
Mac (owned by L'Oreal competitor Estee Lauder) has run promos with Stoya:

I'm sure L'Oreal will get a bunch of free advertising from the controversy.
Herding sheep.
Nose looks weird here
Nothing says 'feminism' like limiting a sex worker's career options to branch out.
Wouldn't expect much more from a TERF paper.
Interesting part to leave out in the headline.
Yeah the fact she has directly relevant popular makeup content seems important to mention.
Ah shit, has The Guardian platformed TERFs?
I'd be interested to see examples of that too.
Well now it can be a SWERF and TERF paper.
