One thing that disappoints me about The Simpsons
One thing that disappoints me about The Simpsons
So, I have a dvd collection of NewsRadio. The entire series.
I have a full series on dvd of The Office.
I have a few more series like this.
Now imagine......they CAN'T do The Simpsons justice with that. I think they're on something like season 37. And the series is renewed for 2 more years I think. At least. It may go on another 15 years.
They CANNOT release a full series dvd package. Imagine all the extras you'd need. Imagine how many discs it would be. Most simpsons fans HEAVILY fall off after season 10, and all 10 of those seasons have been out on dvd for years.
Meaning that by the time they even COULD attempt a final full series release, anyone who ever cared already will have had what they want for over a decade, and all that would be new would be seasons they intentionally stopped watching.
Plus, so many people have either left the show, or died, that they couldn't even attempt to record bonus material it needs.
I want to hear the voice actress for Edna Crabapple talk about the episode where Bart runs her love life as a prank. Can't do that. She's been dead for years.
I just don't see any feasible way for this show to ever get a complete series release it deserves. And even if it could, it would be so many discs that it would be required it cost $500 or more.
Makes me sad. Because I want the full series when it's done.
