You ever look up what the proceeds of those safaris go to? Usually, to animal conservation efforts and to pay the people who stop poachers. If you don't believe me feel free to look it up. And usually the "targets" of these safaris are from problem animals or animals who have become too much of a burden to care for.

But is he okay? Getting shot at can be traumatic. I hope he's okay.

And I thought feel good news articles were dead. It's good to know journalism can still bring a smile to my face occasionally.

I hope the buffalo is ok. Imagine minding your own buissnes, and a murderer comes and takes shots at you.

In all fairness, this was truly self-defense. I would do the same if I was a buffalo.

I see the problem. He is targeting a land-based species, but has his weapon and attention on something in the air. A common, but fatal, mistake. Shoot for the moon, land on the horns of a buffalo.

He must have not been a true millionaire. I hear they're invincible. Only way to prove you’re one of them is to try this shit and see if you’re killed.

Other similar options: Submersible near the Titanic, riding in Boeing aircraft, orbiting in a Tesla, being on the slicing end of a guillotine. All voluntary of course.

The danger of getting maimed or killed is an integral part of the hunt for people like him. This time he lost to the hunt and the Buffalo won. And this is not considered the most dangerous land animal in Africa to hunt. That honor goes to Hippos. Evidently they don't much respect getting shot with .500 nitro Express......

I won't shed a tear for him, but I do understand his thoughts.
