This should be regulared. At the very least, require any user to be an organ donor
Bold of you to assume there will be organs left.
No way the brakes can handle that.
Lmao, 100mph is illegal in many European countries. Even in highways.
LMAO… yeah go 100mph on a scooter.
What could possibly go wrong…..
I see an increase in the dashcam videos with someone on a 100mph scooter wiping out or crashing into a vehicle.
Better wear full on motorcycle gear when riding these things and have your will up to date.
I saw a one wheel guy doing at least 40mph the other day. He was all kitted out in leathers and a very blinky helmet. Looked like a motorcycle that the front had fallen off of.
If you go frame by frame you can literally see the moment they stop being human and start being raspberry jam
And have sufficient insurance to cover the medical damage and claims for damages of his victims.
Half-Life gibbed sound effect
Something with the people that idiot hits on the way.
Fuck, imagine driving on the interstate going 60 in your car, and you see a dude on a scooter catching up to you on it, waving hello to you.
Excellent Darwin tool 😆
I mean they'd help with overpopulation.
While that is true, it will also reduce overpopultation with regards to his victims.
That’s a meat crayon machine
Can't wait to see someone riding this at 100 mph in the bike lane, wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops.
100 mph on the highway between the lanes like sport bike riders...
Make it two people.
I'll see your two people and raise you to the whole family, Vietnam-style.
Make it two drunk people.
When I was walking my dog's in the park late at night I watched a dude eat total shit on one of those mono wheel things. It was on pavement, and he got pretty scraped up. I can't imagine how wrecked a person should get if they were going 100mph on a scooter.
At the 100 mph with such small wheels, you would not have enough time to react between when a small rock appeared clearly in view and when it stops you dead in your tracks.
I would know as someone who faceplanted after a skateboard wheel hit a pebble so small I never saw it.
I’d like to laws requiring a larger minimum diameter on e-scooter wheels.
I would know as someone who faceplanted after a skateboard wheel hit a pebble so small I never saw it.
yeah this is why I switched to longboards with big goofy soft wheels. they eat pebbles and cracks
Wow, you stirred up an old memory of Garrett Hill's Coffee Slam
Great illustration of a pro skateboard vs a pebble.
Fuck pebbles, I got one lodged into some 54mm 95s once. I was able to tuck and roll into some grass but the wheel rolled funny after that.
Such plentiful organs. - Zim
if it doesnt turn into meat paste first.
Well, that's fucking stupid.
Rhetorical question? Of course not.
When I was 20 I would have gone for this in a heartbeat, now at almost 50 I find myself thinking 15mph is too fast on my escooter.
That thing can't be interstate legal. But it would be really funny until it isn't
Lol, natural selection.
What is an "100mph"?
Is it some sort of brand?
100 miles per hour. Equal to 160 kilometers per hour.
Motorcycles have terrible brakes to begin with. That thing probably takes ten football fields to stop.
Hmmm survival of the fittest maybe? Clean out the chaff?
The problem is that this chaff will likely maim and kill innocent bystanders.
Why is a motorcycle site that feature machine that can also capable of this speed being so pessimistic about this?
But anyway, pothole would love to meet these thing.
probably because riding a motorcycle generally requires more protection than a scooter, and the position you're in on a motorcycle is marginally safer.
i doubt these will be popular if they start requiring full mc gear.
Terrifying to think about for me or kids. Hopefully, it is a promotion and an engineering exercise to develop the tech and showboat the possible. Performance bike and car manufacturers have done this for decades to enhance their brand and to sell their road legal cars or bikes. Personally I find the idea of eScooters terrifying, but will ride my bike, which when I think about it offers almost zero protection either.
Bikes are a lot more stable than scooters at almost any speed, and have more flex to them, and these days often at least some sort of suspension. My kid loves his e scooter but it does 30mph and unless it's on a long, straight flat trail it's scary for me doing 30 mph. I can almost get my pedal bike to that speed, maybe even over if I really work at it down hill, and I've never even been nervous on that.
No.
But put that technology in an electric motorbike that requires a licence, registration and insurance - Hell Yeah!
Here's an interesting clip.
