Fuck it. Yeah, go ahead. If they are going to normalize gerrymandering, do it. Fuck the high ground.
- Playing on an even field with Republicans never works. They lie, cheat, and steal then accuse Democrats of the same. It's time to match them and beat them at their own game.
  Dissolve the antiquated Senate while we're at it.
Honestly, I don’t understand why it took THIS for Democrats to respond in kind to a thing Republicans have been doing for fucking decades. The refusal of the DNC to employ even the most rudimentary aspects of game theory for such a long time is just… absolutely insane.
- The DNC has been captured by the wealthy. It is a controlled opposition party that only does performative opposition.
  
  Yeah, note that wealthy Republicans in Texas aren't going to get any of their plans there disrupted by this nonsense. This is just using their bullshit as an excuse to screw over democracy in New York.
This is still reactionary behavior- until left leaning politicians go to full on assault against the fascist party, they’ll be stuck playing catch up. Not that this isn’t great news- CA and NY should absolutely embrace this, and every other tactic, legal or otherwise, to defeat the fascist takeover of the US
As The People of this country, we should be rioting over this. This is invalidating your voice as a voter. Taking away your right to choice. This is antidemocratic in every way.
- This is in response to Texas trying to doing it abruptly 5 years before redistricting. They will do every damn other state with Republican trifectas if dems don't response in kind
  Taking the high road doesn't work. Unilateral disarmament is not the move here. It's either banned for all or none. Republicans have been chipping away at any federal requirements against it for decades and using that to their advantage

- A year ago I might've agreed with this sentiment. There's a time to break bread and a time to break bones. Let's not confuse the two.

- Choice doesn’t matter until districting is codified into law with standards and a non partisan organization to oversee it. Until that tune comes, Democrats have been taking the high road for 50 years and losing the entire time.
  
  Choice does matter, its why the elite have rat fucked it for nearly a century. That tune ain't comin' unless the people write it and publish it.
