Each times I open this sort of list I’m wondering who wrote that and did he watch anything that wasn’t suggested by a tik tok trend
His Dark Materials was a roaring dumpster fire. The first season started really clunky but got great. The second season had really good parts and really lousy parts. Tthe third season just a head scratcher and never bothered to finish.
i also lost interest partway through season 3 and i’m normally a completionist, especially so close to the end.
As someone who didn't read the books, I really enjoyed the whole thing.
I'll have to disagree with the first place of the list. Game of thrones started as a good series and devolved into what was at the end, a shitshow in which nobody had an idea of what to do with it.
On the other hand, I'm missing one of the best fantasy series of the last years: Castlevania.
And just to add something different, Alchemy of souls. Korean productions take fantasy with an unique approach, more similar to japanese anime that makes them unique.
I thought I liked fantasy but I've only watched the first season of a couple of these and two or three of stranger things
stranger things was good but it's story telling felt too repetitive or formula forced
maybe if I was a teenager right now, the other series would appeal
