I watched the first episode of The Walking Dead and I think I've hooked up with a stranger on reddit

I have been watching the first episode of The Walking Dead and I've hooked up with a stranger on reddit. I've been a lurker for a while now but never really connected to any sub or anything. I've been posting to the sub for awhile but never really took it serious. I just found it all a bit weird. I'm from the UK so I don't speak much, and I've been on a lot of dates and trips but never really had any real reason to interact with strangers. I was just browsing the subreddit, scrolling through my feed. It was the zombie apocalypse and I was looking to see what people were talking about. I was looking to see what people were talking about, but not what they were talking about, I'm glad. It's not a huge deal to me but it made me think back to when I first started. I don't remember anything specific happening, I just remember the weird feeling of being connected to the internet and the sense that I knew someone somewhere. I decided to stick with it for a few more days until I had nothing else to do so I just kept scrolling. I never really thought much of it but I was getting really good at it. The more I kept scrolling, the more I got closer to the post. I posted to the sub and felt the connection. I didn't have to reach out to the post to do it, but I felt the need to know. I started messaging them. It took a couple of messages to confirm and they then sent me the link to the post and a timestamp. I don't know who to thank and I feel really silly. I've been talking to a random stranger online for weeks now and I don't remember him or anything. I'm glad that I just connected with someone on reddit though
