Edit: being nice doesn't have to extend to absolutely everyone forever, people have to earn that respect. There's nothing immoral in dropping the niceties when someone refuses to get out of your hair, or is being actively hostile toward you. Better to be fair than nice, anyway.
The intolerance paradox is only a problem if you think fascists can be fairly debated and reasoned with. They can't. They need to be treated like school aged bullies, put in timeout, scolded and ignored.
