I've been really impressed by the Convergence mod regarding this issue. They change & improve many (most, possibly?) dungeons, making each unique and memorable.
To give an example, the Fringefolk Hero's Grave doesn't contain the chariot anymore & instead has changed it to a unique Nox dungeon with a completely different atmosphere (lighting, vegetation, even ruins/obstacles on the way down) and a bunch of related enemies (Nox & albinauric, iirc). And this has been my experience with almost every dungeon in Limgrave & Caelid.
It also expands legacy dungeons & changes the route you have to take by moving obstacles into the normal path, making them a fresh experience. Can really recommend it so far!
Huh, never heard of that before but sounds awesome! Are these two videos about the mod?
Yes, exactly! I also just stumbled upon it a couple of days ago, and it has been a lot of fun going through, though I'm still just at Raya Lucaria. Can really recommend giving it a try, though be ready for big changes, some which are awesome for repeat playthroughs (e.g. you'll receive drops from bosses that allow you to choose from a range of possible talismans).
It also says that it creates a separate save file location & automatically starts the game in offline mode, so there shouldn't be any issues compromising the vanilla game.
That mod sounds really cool! Does it work on Linux?
Edit: it do
Yep, it does! I've used the method mentioned here:
Start_Convergence.bat
as a Non-Steam gameIf the .exe/.bat doesn't run by itself, set the compatibility tool to Proton 9.0-4 (or newer).
Finally, D tier spirits that I will never use. Thank you, end-game dungeon
