I've been guilty of this in the past. Nowadays I'll reason with them when I think it's possible, otherwise I withdraw. I'm too nice to tell people to fuck off
when I was younger I'd do this a lot. now I've grown up I've realised that "no" and "go fuck yourself" is a complete sentence. i don't care if i appear abrasive, be nice to me I'll be nice to you but if you're being nasty to me I'll give you a taste of your own medicine 🍵
- "NO is a complete sentence" is something we should be taught at birth. That's the hill I'd die on, we need to know this.

As I get older I say this more often. Not enough years left in my life to put up with shit.
Most of the time, if I’m being honest. When is it better to escalate a situation? Almost never, especially if the other party may do you harm.
