Silence Is Not Neutral — It's Complicity
Silence Is Not Neutral — It's Complicity

##Fellow Americans,
It’s time for all of us, regardless of race, background, faith, gender, or political belief to recognize a brutal truth:
Institutions like ICE, police forces, military uniforms and government agencies are no longer standing with the people.
They’re aligning with a rising wave of authoritarianism, emboldened by Trump and his extremist allies.
This is not a partisan message.
This is a human warning.
Don’t assume you’re safe just because you’re not impacted yet.
History shows:
Authoritarian regimes don’t stop at one group.
Once normalized, they expand, targeting the next, and the next...
Silence is not neutrality. It's complicity.
If you’re silent, if you refuse to vote, if you pretend it’s not your problem
you are actively helping those who want to take your rights.
Apathy is a catalyst for injustice.
It’s worse than making a mistake, because it lets the pain drag on longer for everyone.
And when you do need help, no one may be left to speak for you.
What We Can Do — Peacefully, Powerfully, Together
If you're feeling powerless watching injustice unfold, you're not. There’s so much we can do without violence, without fear, and without breaking the law.
##Here’s how you can take action right now:
- **If you don’t currently own a firearm — consider acquiring one legally.
If you're unfamiliar with how to use it, get trained and comfortable with the basics. You may never need it, but if the time comes, your preparedness could mean everything.
Our 2nd Amendment rights only matter if we exercise them responsibly.
-
Boycott major corporations that lobby for authoritarian policies or profit from injustice
-
Limit spending to essentials — prioritize needs, not wants
-
Support local and small businesses, especially those run by marginalized communities
-
Don't donate to or support government agencies, private or religion organizations that enable injustice
-
Cut non-essential services where you can — stop funding oligarchs with your paycheck
-
Protest if you're able — or support protests by donating, making signs, bringing food/water, and protecting identities
-
Stand with your neighbors, especially people of color and immigrants — remind them they’re not alone
-
Know your rights when witnessing ICE or police activity — film safely, intervene peacefully, without jeopardizing your safety
-
Educate others: speak to your family, coworkers, and friends — even those you disagree with
-
Rebuild community — the system thrives when we’re divided; unity is our greatest power
-
Speak up — silence and apathy are the easiest ways to let oppression take root
##Capitalism teaches us to compete and divide. Community teaches us to care and survive.
##This is not about politics. It’s about human rights, dignity, and collective power.
If you feel uneasy about where things are headed — you’re right.
But what comes next will be worse if we remain silent and divided.
United, we can still protect democracy.
Divided, we lose it all.
