They want to make Deseret and secede from the US, or simply hold together their fiefdom while everything else collapses.
If they just take Utah, Idaho and Arizona let them go
They wouldn't stop at that I can guarantee you that. Frankly speaking the only proper response to them trying that would be to glass Provo and Salt lake city.
I don't think abusive theocracies have a right to exist. Letting people like that coalesce into a nation-state will just cause bigger problems down the road.
