She screams when she doesn't know where I am rather than walking down the hall to check where I am. I call out to her and she shuts up and enters the room. How lazy can you get?
Cat 1’s inability to understand boundaries with cat 3. He (cat 1) gets along great with cat 2, and he thinks cat 3 is also his best friend, but cat 3? She hates him (he doesn’t respect her boundaries). And he tries to play with her in the middle of the night which means we get woken up by hissing and yelling and whatnot.
I love cat 1, don’t get me wrong. But he’s like a big dumb puppy in the shape of a cat.
He only sharpens his claws on things I don't buy for him to sharpen his claws on. He is otherwise very well behaved, good with people, and extremely cuddly. He's the sweetest and I love him....but I wish he would stop ruining my fucking furniture.
Have you tried those scratch-guard things? It's like some kind of clear plastic you can apply to the corners of your furniture. Cats find the texture unpleasant and unrewarding to scratch. Just an idea
Our cat does the same and I've noticed it's more about getting our attention than actually sharpening his claws. He knows it'll illicit a response out of us every time.
My cat just puts all the litter at the very back of the litter box. Then pees right at the entrance of the litter box. Then puts her paws thoroughly in pee and starts a nice stroll all around my flat.
I mean she is definitely smarter than other cats for certain stuffs (opening doors, drawers is easy for her) but she is really bad at using the litter box. And I have tried all types of litter and various amount of it but she almost always does that.
My cat wants to drink out of every glass, so I replaced all my glasses with those lidded ones with straws, now she licks the straw whenever I leave the room.
One of our cat eats everything 'long' he can get hold of. Meaning we have to hide everything such as laces or toys with tails, as he will literary chew it of and swallow it fully. Also blankets and cloth is usually not safe from him ...
My oldest loves to explore the kitchen counters at 3a. Last week, I found the huge glass jar that I store his kibble in knocked on its side, but thankfully not broken.
My cat alway lying in on in front of door passages, which makes me need to walk around her every time. I already stepped on her tail couple times at night. This is especially annoying when someone is cooking something on kitchen, and she just walks under the legs, probably because she expects that someone will give here something to eat.
Ours has an interest in any cooking oils, but specifically olive oils. If we leave a bottle of oil on the counter by accident we will find the lid heavily chewed, or the bottle topped over so he can get to the actual oil.
Either that, or the fact that he eats anything (might be related). So scrunchies, toymice, nibble-sticks. Nothing is safe for this cat.
