Links in spoilers don't work

The trending communities bot started using spoiler tags and it broke connect. I'll try to put an example here:

Basically it only shows code not the formatted version when inside a spoiler tag.

No markdown inside spoiler tags will be likely be an issue for other posts too. (EDIT: found one)
As for Trending Communities I was mainly trying to use the tags to create an expandable section, like this:

But what Connect does (blocking all the text) isn't technically wrong, so it's understandable if you don't want to change it. Auto-TLDR bot often uses the tag for the same effect, but maybe we should both wait for a new, more appropriate Markdown feature, rather than (ab)using the one for spoilers.
I can't read spoilers at all. They are white on white when revealed.
- Same. I wondered if it was a setting in my preferred colours that was incorrect or conflicting but I can't find any.
  I have changed to dark mode, which works as the spoiler stays white, while the background changes to black.
