He's the son of the Crown Princess (by marriage) but not of the Crown Prince. i.e. His mother had him as a result of a prior relationship, then married the Crown Prince, making him the stepson of the man who will one day be king, but not really anything on his own account. The royals are quite decent and cool. I'm in principle for getting rid of the monarchy, but this gang is so chill I'm ok with not making a fuss. Except for this shitstain. And the crown prince's sister. And her charlatan husband. In fact, only the hereditary bloodline is good. It's almost like some divine magic, or that they got all the good attention and the others have useless sibling syndrome.

I don’t think he ever actually had a chance at the crown; He was born before his mother married the crown prince. His younger siblings would have a potential claim since they’re the prince’s kids, but he wouldn’t any claim since he’s not the prince’s child. He’s even excluded from some of the royal portraits.
He has no ties at all into royalty. He can never be royalty unless he forms an army and goes to war for the Crown or something.
