Facing the possibility of losing control of the U.S. House next year, national Republicans are pushing two GOP-led states are weighing aggressively redrawing their congressional districts and pushing several longtime Democratic lawmakers out of their seats.
Ohio has actually been required to redraw maps for 8 years now. After the 2016 election, it was found that our maps were too heavily biased by the OH Supreme Court, and they ordered a committee to redraw it. The committee is, of course, practically only staffed by GOPers, and they so far have submitted 8 maps that I know of. At least two of them were literally the same as the map that was found illegal, and the rest of them were found to not meet criteria either. They've been held in contempt multiple times but DeWine and friends seem not to really want to do anything about that.
This ONLY Works because Republicans ALWAYS vote in Their Best Interests and NEVER EVER EVER for the Person LITERALLY CAMPAIGNING ON RUINING THEIR LIVES!
What pisses me off about this is states that have dem majorities should be doing the exact same shit. Let them both suck so hard the courts have to demand non-party commission to set these boundaries. Why the hell do the Dems have to fight with a hand tied behind their back?
