I think you're accidentally highlighting the problem. Everyone is waiting for someone else to do something because they don't want to risk what life/luxuries they have
Or trigger the insurrection act and get most of us killed. We need a large organized resistance to succeed. I suspect it will have to happen outside the country. In Mexico or Canada maybe?
It's over. There are exactly three options that this can still be averted, and all of them get less likely by the minute:
A military higher-up stages a coup. Private people are not powerful enough to stand against the military, so only the military can start a revolution with any chance of success. The military will not do so without a leader, so it would have to be a person in the top tier of command, and dissenting voices there are being replaced fast. As soon as they are replaced, that avenue closes permanently.
Someone assassinates Trump. This can actually be done by a random person, but the chances of that are very slim with all the protection that he has. Even if this is successful, it's very likely that they'll just replace Trump with the next best fascist, who will then have a real vendetta against the remaining opposition.
The US starts a war against some other country and loses it on it's own turf. For a fascist government do be toppled by a war, another country will have to successfully invade the fascist country. Currently, there's no military strong enough to do so. Neither Russia nor China have remotely what it would take to successfully invade the USA.
The much more likely scenario is that the USA turns into a fascist country and stays like that for the next 50-100 years until it is so run-down that it topples itself and everything just collapses USSR-style.
That's enough doom out of you. All you're doing is telling those who would take action that doing so is useless. So what you posted is less than useless. You're doing their work for them.
Build something. Break something. Hide someone. Form your community. Resist. Fight, damn you!
You have no idea how many options the future holds, but I'll bet it's a lot more than just three.
History don't repeat itself. No, history just rhymes.
I appreciate your enthusiasm, and agree, that’s the times as they stand, there’s dozens of John Browns walking around among us, hundreds.
Just, you know, remember he was coming off a lifetime of conducting on the Underground Railroad when he attacked Harper’s Ferry.
What's with all this czar business going on with these people? Why czar, you're not in Russia. Do they even know how the actual czar ended up? He ended up dead.
Police was first established by wealthy families as a private militia (eg to hunt runaway slaves & punish the renaming), then the financial burden was just transferred to the state/public, but their* goals or mentality didn't change.
(*also the public's expectation/culture didn't change - still today it seems logical to everyone that eg robbery of the rich takes priority over robbery of the poor, regardless what the stolen amount represents to their lives)
It's like expecting medieval knights to protect the peasants.
Or the laws to take into account the needs of the many.
Tho everyone knows humanity would benefit & advance quicker if that were the case.
