There are more US troops in LA than in Iraq, Syria

There are now more U.S. troops deployed to Los Angeles than in Iraq and Syria.

To be fair we shouldn't have any troops in any of those places. Other than embassy guards.
How many troops should we have terrorizing the other side of the pond?
Well, this should be normal. Coming from a non American.

Breaking: More spoons found in kitchen than bedroom.
I imagine that's the norm, considering that LA and the surrounding area houses ~5 bases for various branches.
