I'm a white man in a rural area in the south. Black folks who don't really know me often seem surprised when they hear me say something anti-Trump. And honestly, I understand completely.
All I see is one of the dumbest nations on the planet and a clear indication that things will continue to decline regardless of whether Donald Trump is wasting oxygen or not.
If you're white and on the left its time you started infiltrating these conservative spaces. I do, and as soon as they see you are white all you have to do is ignore 1 racist comment and these people open all the folds for you. Its time to get dirty with the people spreading the dirt. The right wanted a revolution? They'll get it.
I'm not even black and I'm super proud of y'all for trying you god damned hardest to pull this shit off.
as a white guy to everyone else, I'm sorry the other white guys are so pathetic and weak they have to follow a conman that empowers them to be who they really are.
In 2020 black males had 80 Biden - 20 Trump and black females 90 Biden - 10 Trump. I'm generally color blind but it's hard not to see how american black culture is so much more attentive to contemporary issues and somehow pop culture managed to twist "woke" as a bad word. crazy.
I do so love being the most awful gender of the most awful race of the most awful country of the most awful species in the worst of all possible worlds.
And I’m supposed to make friends with these assholes?
I'm a white dude, apparently one of the relatively few left ones. It's probably because of AuDHD, I grew up knowing what it was like to be in the out group. I lived full time in Honduras for a few years, and not with the military, so I kinda know what it's like to be an immigrant. I had to deal with their visa/immigration system there. It's not the same, I'm not saying that it is, but I've lived the experience of making community and friends and being reminded by the government that you don't belong here. I also got to see the immigration issue from the perspective of the people that are subject to it. A lot of these Trump fucks have enjoyed the luxury of never questioning anything, just cruise, watch your hunting shows, live in your bubble and recite your fox news/ tim pool bullshit. I know the type, and it is utterly inconceivable to them that the could ever end up in the out group, and it's a fucking interesting ride to be along for when they do end up there. Unfortunately, too few of them realize that they weren't just being singled out by the deep state or Satan because life is a show about them, and that that's just life for people in the out group.
So the reality that was spoken/written during the road to the elections all over Lemmy, were Biden and later Kamala were supposed to win by a large margin, was a false and utter lie? A fabrication?
Okay good
Now what's to say this isn't another fabrication as well?
Does this include people who didn't vote? Like is this if everyone of that demographic voted, or just a demographic map of people who did vote?
I honestly think these maps and graphs and whatever should always include those who didn't vote. That's honestly the metric that is fucking up the elections the most.
Sorry but the sheer amount of black trump supporters I've met in the south would call this BS, and even setting aside Maga, there are plenty of black Christians that are conservative enough to still vote for Taco Orange. On the flip side I've met more people who are white or Latino that hate this dude's guts to never vote for the asscunt.
My partner went to a meeting, and at the end a man thanked her for “organising” the meeting. Which she had nothing to do with. She was just a woman in the meeting. Thanks, white men!
Can we see something like this for ages, too? I heard stats saying that young men (maybe white men in particular) went heavily for Trump, but men ages 70+ went heavily for Harris.
