Residents within the quarantined areas need to keep all homegrown produce on their own property.

  Yeah I don't understand this approach. Aren't fruit flies already on everything? I can't imagine they're spreading from one person's house to another and becoming this big of a problem.
I remember having to do abatement against the glassy winged sharpshooter when I was a kid. This that?
The article should show a photo of the bug in question for those, like me, that have no idea what one looks like.
