Fun fact: we actually officially changed to the metric system via the Metric Conversion Act of 1975. It just was never funded.
To be fair, it is commonly used in science, engineering, medicine and the military.
And while people commonly bring up calibers, drugs, etc. as example of it being used. My favorite is that pretty much every single car mechanic in the US can show you an approximation of a centimeter. Because 10mm bolts are so commonly used that they've all lost at least one wrench and/or socket.
Sorry. Who is we?
As an embarrassed American I approve of this please sink this country!
Sorry Greenland, your flag is like something from a shitty 1990s turn based strategy game in space. I can't take it seriously.
Honestly none of the flags pictured are any good. We can't all be Canada, unfortunately.
I'm Canadian and I think Greenland's flag looks pretty cool. It's supposed to represent the fact that the sun stays up all day in summer, right?
hoc modo bellum!
Why is the EU needed? Can't Greenland lease the land to a mining company themselves?
This was a deal with a mining consortium. They just chose to sign a deal with a company that doesn't belong to people threatening to invade.
Greenland is a Overseas Country and Territory (fucking diplospeak for colony) though and already has a certain level of trade access in the EU.
