- Fun fact: we actually officially changed to the metric system via the Metric Conversion Act of 1975. It just was never funded.
  
  To be fair, it is commonly used in science, engineering, medicine and the military.
  And while people commonly bring up calibers, drugs, etc. as example of it being used. My favorite is that pretty much every single car mechanic in the US can show you an approximation of a centimeter. Because 10mm bolts are so commonly used that they've all lost at least one wrench and/or socket.

  I'm Canadian and I think Greenland's flag looks pretty cool. It's supposed to represent the fact that the sun stays up all day in summer, right?

Why is the EU needed? Can't Greenland lease the land to a mining company themselves?
- This was a deal with a mining consortium. They just chose to sign a deal with a company that doesn't belong to people threatening to invade.
  Greenland is a Overseas Country and Territory (fucking diplospeak for colony) though and already has a certain level of trade access in the EU.
