Justice Clarence Thomas dissented to the court's order that black people are real people.
Like, it's a fucked up headline, but I bet for a second you were like "wait a minute, is that real?" Which is both funny and sad at the same time concerning both Thomas and the times we live in. lol
Thomas’s dissent stated he didn’t get anything lavish to go along with the ruling. Also, he didn’t get to show porn to anyone involved so he took his ball and went home.
It's crazy that they don't even like throw one the other way every now and then that they know they're gonna lose anyway, to maintain some kind of air of legitimacy... But nope. Instead, they vote as if Putin has their extended families held hostage and is waiting to dose them all with carfentanyl the moment they veer off course.
But no, they're actually most likely just really shitty people.
are those corrupt crooked fucks starting to realize trump will eliminate the judicial branch altogether and absorb it into the dictator branch the instant he's able?
Our only hope for saving American democracy is that there are still other Republicans that can think of nothing worse than losing an ounce of power to someone else.
inherent in any rigidly hierarchical pecking order power structure like conservatism-- they all secretly despise each other, even while swallowing each others' loads
the opposite problem means the dems get nothing done-- no shyness whatsoever about calling each other out over even petty bullshit differences
