Yeah, most songs that fall into a genre that I don't really care for are just background noise- don't like it, don't hate it, it's just there.
Wonderwall is one of the exceptions. Cannot fucking stand that song. 99% of it is just some gape-mouthed fucker saying "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" or "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" ...like they don't even try to make it interesting by slapping some vibrato or crescendo or anything, or hide it behind some interesting instrumentals: it's flat drawn out monotone the entire song.
It's shit.

Unpopular opinion: it's an annoying song, from an overrated band, centered around to 2 egotistical alcoholic douchebag brothers. The atrocious timbre of the lead voice makes me feel as if I'm listening to someone chew on aluminum/aluminium foil.
I am 41. I hated this song and this band back then, and I hate them now, even more, which I find surprising that it's possible to do so.
