This is a real thing I do. It feels weird if the weight of the carton isn't evenly balanced when I take it from the fridge.
Why would you ever want your eggs to be asymmetrical if you could help it? Eggs are fragile and symmetry promotes greater carton balance

TIL: I have autism.
11 0 ReplyTo be fair, even weight distribution will lessen the chances for someone grabbing the empty end and having the heavy end droop the carton causing eggs to fall on the floor (this is a lessons learned) 🥚
10 0 ReplyI keep all the eggs at the end that's facing out, where I grab it. Less leverage on the carton.

What if you only wanted one egg?
Me: sorry, that's just not possible.
7 0 ReplyThe only correct way to remove eggs, duh
5 0 ReplyFuck. I sorta do this. Not our of some need for symmetry, but so it's center of gravity is as close to the center of the carton as possible. Dropping eggs sucks.
4 0 ReplyMaybe I'm not autistic enough... But what do you do when there's an odd number of eggs left?
4 0 ReplyZig zag them.

oh shit… i do the same thing 😭😭
4 0 ReplyI do similar but take out the outer corner ones first because they're the most likely to get knocked in the fridge :P
3 0 ReplyI've never done this before, but as soon as I saw it I realized I've been doing things so wrong. If I can ever afford eggs again, I'll do this.
2 0 ReplyI do this! If I'm the one cooking, I'm cooking eggs in pairs so there's never an odd number too.
