My old kitty loves to walk me around the house, not even to the food bowl. We go from the cat tree to the other cat tree to the window to the screen door and she's yelling and grumbling, hopping up for pets on the trees but she's mainly about walking together.
The car is simply asserting ownership. Love doesn't enter into the equation
