The president sounded much more conciliatory after he was told about the chaos his plans could bring.
WH got louder in their begging yesterday, but Trump has said China will be begging for a deal almost everyday. Bessent even called themselves "stupid for their tariff joke", "unsustainable", "must end". They won't even pick up the phone to cut "the extra stupid joke 125%" off.
Ask yourself why this meeting didn't happen before the tariffs. Good leaders make decisions armed with information first.
