I have done this with ex-partners when we were mad at each other

I tell my spouse that I might be mad but I still love them. Make a huge effort to not stop doing all the little touches of love that I normally do just cause I'm mad. It's us vs the problem, not me vs them.

This speaks to me so much. Sometimes I think instead of (suspected) autism, I might just be a cat...
