Edit: big thanks to HumanPerson and their friend for potentially figuring it out! It seems to be a BMW F10!
Hey there! I'm not trying to find a perp committing a hit and run or anything, just curious on what make and model this car could be!
I was following it on the interstate and couldn't ID it then, and can't ID it from my dashcam either. And was never close enough to get a clear view until he hauled ass and disappeared. I thought it was a Kia sports car at the time (k5 or stinger) but can't place the tail lights
It doesn't seem to be a kia, Subaru, Ford focus (hatchback), or Corvette to me. But I'm also not entirely sure of the exhaust placement or door count!
The rear reflectors being horizontal and so near to the taillights seems distinctive to me, but i can't place it exactly. Tail light shape is some what unique as well, I think that's two distinct light sources? Finally what I can only assume is a centered exhaust?
My only guess is an Acura Integra Type S, but the position of the license plate doesn't seem to line up relative to the other elements. So probably not.
Idk if the video will help tbh lol. If we remove the expectation of a center exhaust, and I squint really hard, I could maybe see a 2019 BMW M340i - those have reflectors, taillight and license plate in similar positions.
Unfortunately You probably won't have a conclusive answer from these pictures heh.
Edit: there are also trailer hitch receivers available for the M340i for bike racks. That may explain the single pipe in the middle??
My technique involves trying to match up tail lights and exhaust pipes, I'm sure someone else on here has to have an eye for other specific identifying details though (even with a blurry low resolution picture!)
Mercedes definitely isn't out of the question, but in this case the taillights on that particular one look like they're sloping in a different direction from what I can tell
Maybe a BMW like an M3 or something? After looking at the Civic I realized it has to be older as just about every new car has thin LED taillights while this thing has traditional round bulbs.
Possibly also a Nissan GTR with a custom exhaust based on the shape and position of the taillights.
Edit: not a GTR either. This car has the license plate directly between the taillights while the GTR is lower on the bumper.
