my old-ass dad brought up wanting to buy a tesla last night. he’s been anti-electric vehicles for literal years because that’s what the rest of his hive mind told him to be.
the heel turn would be funny if it wasn’t so depressing. i’m lucky he didn’t give a shit about parenting when i was a kid.
Part of me wants to believe this is a calculated move to try and get support from a market segment that otherwise would never, ever have bought one of his cars.
Then I think about twitter and the 50 billion he lost that he keeps trying to get back in bonuses from tesla over his little tantrum.
Also, that market segment by and large can't afford to buy a tesla.
The downside to appealing to the poor and stupid, is that they're poor and can't afford your 'luxury' shitbox.
