25,000 fired feds reinstated after courts find probationary terminations illegal
The administration said it had rehired most of the workers subject to a Maryland judge's order, but argued that doing so would "cause significant turmoil."
Tens of thousands of federal employees who were fired during their probationary periods have their jobs back — on paper, anyway.
In court-mandated filings Monday night, the Trump administration gave agency-by-agency details on the employees it has reinstated since late last week, when two separate federal judges found that the en-masse terminations of probationary federal workers were illegal.
Taken together, the filings, which cover most federal civilian agencies, show that 24,583 probationary employees were terminated as part of the administration’s sweeping layoffs. Of those, 24,570 have at least been notified that their jobs have been reinstated, though most agencies have placed the workers on administrative leave at least temporarily.

look at a person of average intelligence and realize about half of all are stupider than them. this is why history repears itself. we're all just fancy animals and some more than others. some of us can get ppl into space, and some of us prefer believing lies over the truth, because it feels better. it's gonna be like that for a loooong time. maybe it gets even worse, because intelligent ppl tend to have less kids for some reason.
When an old job I had notified me funding for my contracted position may not get renewed in the following year I was gone within two months for a position with stable funding.
I could not imagine going back after having something like this pulled on me.
