Has anyone tried Brickit? How well does it work?
Brickit is an app that scans your pile of bricks, identifies every piece in it, gives you ideas what to build with them with step-by-step instructions and lets you share the things you make with other enthusiasts.
Just scatter your bricks and take a photo. Brickit will show you hundreds of ideas for what to build with them, along with the exact location of each piece you’ll need.
If this helps others, great. It would absolutely suck the fun out of legos for me, but I also haven’t played with legos in probably over a decade, despite the occasional opportunity.
... Am I on crazy pills right now? People need to be told how to use Legos imaginatively? Is this an accessibility thing for aphantasics?
I see it as a launching point/ inspiration, like seeing what a friend comes up with and then trying something better yourself
Yeah that's fine. I came on strong. The idea that Lego is for imaginative play is one I've had to go to bat for a lot, over the years with my kid. I might have unresolved tensions about it.
