Gamers are investing in digital accessories for use in the popular video game Counter-Strike 2. The market value for such goods passed $4.3 billion for the first time on Friday, according to data from Pricempire.com, which helps enthusiasts trade virtual items like guns, key charms and stickers. The previous high was in April 2023.

In June, a Counter-Strike 2 skin — used to decorate a gun — sold for a record $1 million. The skin features wood details and a blue-and-yellow, tie-dye design.
