Bernie Sanders Delivers Blistering Response To Trump's Address To Congress

Imagine the timeline if he was our president.....

Yeah didn't have it in me to suffer through the actual address, but I watched Bernies,. I can't believe the energy Bernie Sanders is bringing to the table. Bruh still gets that finger ☝️ up like he's 74.

I feel like he needs to be doing what he's doing right no, but there is an edge forming that feels like the Republic needs to be reformed. Democrats were too weak a party to have invested our hopes for the future in, that when empowered, all they can do is compromise and fuel that which we are trying to resist.

Bernie's got the fighting spirit that Democrats needed to have embraced in 08, which is anathema too all the brokers of power in the party now worship. There is no clear path to resolving the issues created by perpetual cuckoldry of DNC leadership, or frankly, the DNC base. The handwringing, the schadenfreude when they are actually losing, the elevation of norms and social grace to canon: a general unwillingness to act early enough or forcefully enough to make a difference.

You can and should hate the Republican part for what they are. However, it wasn't the Republicans who have perpetually and permanently betrayed you at every turn. While Republicans do and say and promise horrible things, they're honest to your face about it.

The Democratic party is a farce older than the modern progressive movement, and in some ways, have held worse faith than the Republican party, at least with their core constituencies. They vacuumed up the support of the resistance movements and did basically nothing with all the power people have attempted to hand them over the previous 25 years. They've been a grounding rod to prevent the lighting strikes of change that the American electorate have been demanding since before 9/11, and through their unwillingness to accept their role, they've handed all the power their constituents imbued them with to a part of white nationalists and fascists.

To quote a malapropism: "There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

If your opponents are imbecile, and incompetents, and fools; and you are consistently losing to them yet are willing to make any adjustments in your approach, what does that then make you?

He's too early - we aren't due for FDR until after the tariffs and mass deregulation cause the Great Depression after the collapse of the Gilded Age. We gotta defeat the American Nazi Party and eugenicists and THEN we get FDR, and then we need to make it through our isolationist period before the imperialist power across the Pacific wakes America once more.
