Supposed to take my kid to the dentist this morning, pretty sure it's not happening.
School went from a planned 2 hour late start for conferences to canceling conferences but keeping the late start to now a
snow dayflex learning day.My dog has shorter legs so he struggled getting back up the steps after going outside to run around in the snow.
Since we're going to cancel the dentist appointment and there's no school, I can take my time clearing off the driveway and making a spot for the kids to stand at the bus stop across the street.
Our dogs had to hop like bunnies when we went out this morning and they’re medium sized. It’s a new experience for all of us, being from Texas where we rarely get an inch on “snow days”.
Mine did too, but he loved it and didn't want to come back inside this afternoon.
It's so bad right now that Metro Transit has suspended all bus service due to the road conditions.
If you're not someone who is absolutely essential, didn't drive in this shit.
Up here in the norf woods it's 25 and dry until maybe next week Wednesday. My driveway and yard is pretty much an ice rink though. You could fall and throw a hip if you aren't careful.
32 degree mixed is the weather I hate most. Basically I would rather have a temp below freezing than above when we are talking 8 or less degrees and im not even sure about 8-12ish range but above that I will take over.
Just cleaned the driveway and sidewalks. With my WFH job I was unable to get to it until it started to get a little heavy. The snowblower worked well but did have to go over a few spots twice or three times. Time to walk / trudge the dogs next
Well the snowplow came and piled snow back to my end of the driveway / alley that I spent all morning clearing. Time to do it again
Very glad I called in sick last night rather than delivering pizzas until 3 am
My personal favorite is a few inches of wet snow, then warming enough for the melt to turn all depressions into little lakes while storm drains are packed with snow, then a hard freeze to plate just everything in ice. That thick base layer of ice promises to just ruin everything for a while.
Are you expecting an ice rink road condition? Cause that shit is the absolute worst.
