what is “cis” I keep seeing this term and I’ve no idea what it means
- "not trans"
  like how the opposite of "homosexual" is "heterosexual". "cisgender" is the opposite of "transgender"
  Both terms are common in other sciences¹ as well, where "cis" means "unchanged, on the same side" whereas "trans" means "changed, on the opposite side"

i hate that i knew i was trans since as far back as i remember even if i didn't know i was trans.
- Yeah it sucks. In hindsight it’s clear that I’ve known since childhood but it took me another 20 years to know.
